About Nor-Word Text Services

Nor-Word Text Services was founded by Dr. John P. Coakley, P. Eng., in Ontario, Canada, driven by his strong attention to detail, professional background in engineering, and lifelong passion for language. What began in 1978 as a multilingual translation service evolved in 2001 into a specialized focus on Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish to English.

Since earning ATIO certification in 2006 for Norwegian to English translation, Nor-Word has provided trusted, high-quality translation, editing, and text enhancement services. Our work supports government agencies, universities, and individuals, particularly for certified translations of immigration, medical, and legal documents, as well as historical texts.
